South Bend Indiana

Since our last visit together, via the newsletter Howard and I were able to travel together to South Bend, Indiana for a Regional First Nations Conference. We had a great time with new and old acquaintances. It turns out the couple who hosted the event, we actually had met several years earlier on Rosebud Reservations. They have a ministry in South Bend called Servants of Streets, in which they literally minister to those on the streets, the prostitutes, drug & alcohol addicts and those down on their luck. They bring them in, take them through a rehab program, fill them with the word of God and help prepare them for the outside world. It is an awesome ministry and God is blessing it. (If you would like to know more about this ministry you can contact Mario and Regina Villela at: sos586@comcast.net

The gathering was much smaller than all anticipated but the teachings were excellent, they all focused on ministering to Native Americans. Howard had an opportunity to share on Ministering to Native Americans from a non native perspective. He also shared his beautiful voice with us as he included a song at then end of his message. Howard is such a gifted man, I am truly blessed.
