Who are Howard and Charlyne Lane...?

Howard and Charlyne Lane are former residents of Apollo, PA.. In 1992 they heard God's calling into full time ministry on the Rosebud Sioux Indian Reservation in South Dakota . They lived and worked on Rosebud until 1997 when God took them into a time of further training and preparation for the work He had called them to. After completing training in British Columbia, Canada and Bohol, Philippines they joined forces with Youth With A Mission (An international missions and relief agency) to pioneer the first Native American focused Y.W.A.M. base in Oklahoma. They are now continuing the work that God has called them to in Oklahoma working with many Native American tribes including the Kiowa, Apache, and Comanche Indians.

What is it like in Native American Communities
and Reservations...?

It is colorful and rich in Indian tradition and history. We believe some of the most talented artist in the world are from the Native American communities. There are things to see, culture to experience, and wisdom to be learned. But Native American community and Tribal leaders recognize that there are many serious needs among their people.

How has God equipped
Howard and Charlyne to help...?

Howard, a licensed minister, and his wife, Charlyne, have been training for cross cultural ministry to Native Americans for many years through their home church, mission seminars, and a local Bible School. Both have attended one of the few Native American Universities in the country to study Native American History, Culture, Politics, Religion and Language.

What do the Lanes hope to be doing...?

The Native American children, teens, and adults are looking for peace and contentment like anyone else. Howard and Charlyne have recognized God's calling and equipping on their lives to help. They believe that God has called them to be instrumental in helping the lost find the Lord, His love, and their place in His Kingdom, to minister to the broken hearted, and bring freedom to the captives. They are called to use their gifts and talents to edify the church and build up the body of Christ.

What will the Lanes actually do...?

Partner with committed Christians in Native American communities to evangelize, and disciple the people to a saving knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Be slow to speak and quick to listen. "God has been faithful to give us a strategy."

Our ultimate goal is to raise mature Christian young people who will become a generation of leaders among Indian people, who will in turn raise solid Christian families themselves; and who will be a powerful force in the Kingdom of God.
To sum it all up...

Howard and Charlyne are what is called "Faith Missionaries," which simply means that they do not receive a salary, nor is their budget provided by any denomination or organization. Their ministry is completely supported by churches and individuals like yourself who have heard God calling them to be a part of the team that is ministering to Native Americans. Please share the vision with others!

To GOD be the glory Forever and ever, Amen!

God Loves You. Remember He said in Gen. that you are part of the VERY GOOD!
