2nd QTR 2007 Newsletter
|
We finished most of our time of
itinerating last year, but we had one more church to share with this
year. The New Life Assembly of God church in Cache OK has supported our
ministry for the last several years. We had the opportunity in January
to share with them how they have been a part of what God is doing in
Native America. We believe this church is on the cutting edge of what
God is doing among the Native American people because they were the
first in a Native populated area to support the ministry. The A/G family
has stepped on board to minister to the Native people in their own back
yard.

God Continues to Move on
Agape’s behalf!
|
|
We are so excited to share God’s continued work on behalf
of Agape Lane Ministry. Cedar Creek Church began to support the ministry
as of Jan. 07. We are so blessed not only for the increase in Agape’s
finances but that the church has joined with us in missions. We consider
every church and individual that supports us part of the team. The
Native American group of people at Cedar Creek are taking their part in
missions with a commitment to support the ministry on a monthly basis.
We believe that Cedar Creek is also on the cutting edge of what God is
doing in Native America because they are the first Native American
Church to support our ministry. We believe that because of their
obedience to God, we are going to see great and mighty things happen
through them.
Also at the time of this writing, four of our supporting churches have
increased their monthly gift amount this year. We are so very grateful
that these churches have been considerate of the effects of inflation on
the ministry. We continue to pray for new churches to join the team so
that Agape Lane Ministry will be able to be consistent in ministry. So
please continue to remember us as you participate with other churches
interested in missions.

Indiana College
Students!
|
Howard was invited to share with a group
of students from Anderson University which is in Indiana, but he didn’t
have to travel to do it. During the Missio Dei celebration Howard met a
gentleman from Indiana who leads groups of college students on mission
trips to Oklahoma.
They
have been ministering in the town of Walters for the past seven years
where they have consistently worked with the Brown Indian Baptist
Church.
Howard was asked to share our ministry and about ministering among
Native Americans from a non – native perspective. Howard shared his
heart with much enthusiasm, he encouraged us as the church to “let our
eyes” (We believe that because many Native Americans are discerners they
could be considered the eyes of the church) minister and that we need to
embrace how God has equipped them, and created them to uniquely
minister. It was an added blessing that some of the Native people from
the church came to listen and were encouraged to hear what Howard was
sharing. We thank the Lord for the doors He has been opening! |
I shared in a prayer request in the previous
newsletter that Howard was preaching and teaching through out Feb. and
March. Thank you for your prayers. We finished the Covenant Bible Study in
Carnegie and we continue to learn more about our Covenant Keeping God!
Howard also preached a series of five Covenant messages at the Brown Indian
Baptist Church in Walters, Oklahoma. We started a relationship with this
church through the mission team from Indiana. When the church’s Pastor
became ill and resigned they asked Howard to step in while they were
searching for a Pastor. He was able to take five Sunday mornings to share
about Covenant. The folks at the church thoroughly enjoyed the messages,
“The teaching on Covenant was eye opening,” some shared.
We are grateful that the Lord has continued to give Howard the opportunity
to teach Covenant we believe it is so important that people understand what
it means to be in Covenant with the Living God. |
Howard
went on a short trip to Indiana with Wiconi in March. He was able to film
the Perspectives classes that Richard taught. Howard will now take those
films and edit them, then they will be made available to the general public.
If you are interested in obtaining these tapes you can go to www.Wiconi.com.
|
He
also filmed Richard sharing the message, “Having A World View,” at several
churches in the Indiana area. He was blessed to use the new cameras God
provided through His people.
Howard had the opportunity to have lunch, and join a meeting with faculty
and leadership from Anderson University. He especially enjoyed
fellowshipping with the missions coordinator from the University. During
the
lunch they discussed Wiconi presenting a “Christianity in Culture,”
presentation for the student body during their Indiana multi- city tour in
April of 2007. |
Prayer Request.
- Howard will be on a trip with Wiconi from April 12-24 he will
participate in 10 events during those twelve days. Pray for the messages
to be received and for traveling mercies for the whole team.
- As mentioned earlier we are still praying for new churches to join
the Agape team. Believe with us that doors will open.
- Howard and I would remain sensitive to the Lord’s direction as He
opens doors of ministry opportunity.
- I (Char) am praying for a part time job again to help with personal
expenses. Believe with me that God will open a door that will enable me
to continue to be a help in the ministry as well as with personal
finances.
- We are praying for God to provide a dependable second vehicle for me
(Char). Please believe with us.
